Dholera, Gujarat: Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL) has announced a ₹429.16 crore investment in two key transmission projects to boost Gujarat’s renewable energy infrastructure. This development is part of a broader ₹6,900 crore project aimed at supporting 500 MW offshore wind farms and enhancing power evacuation systems in the region.
Key Highlights of PGCIL’s Investment:
- ₹319.42 Cr Project: Development of a 400kV switchyard and installation of 1500 MVA, 765/400kV ICTs at Vataman (AIS) to facilitate offshore wind power evacuation. This project is scheduled for completion by February 19, 2026.
- ₹109.74 Cr Project: Creation of an additional transmission system for redundant power supply to Dholera, ensuring reliable electricity for industries and residents. Expected completion date: March 1, 2026.
Dholera: A Growing Hub for Smart Energy Infrastructure
