Tata Electronic project at DholeraSIR is on Full Swing. To construct the fab in the Dholera Special Investment Region, Tata Electronics has teamed up with Powerchip Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation, a leading chip manufacturer in Taiwan.
Tata Electronics Partnership and Fab Development
Dholera, Gujarat Tata Electronics has partnered with Powerchip Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation (PSMC) from Taiwan to build an $11-billion semiconductor fabrication facility in the Dholera Special Investment Region, Gujarat.
PSMC brings advanced semiconductor technology, while Tata Group offers significant IT expertise, making the partnership a strong fit for high-value manufacturing.
Employee Training in Taiwan
Tata Electronics has begun training employees in Taiwan, with more batches expected to join starting in October. Initial training includes Indian nationals currently residing in Taiwan.
Around 200 employees will initially be trained by PSMC in specialized semiconductor manufacturing skills, with plans to train thousands more as the project progresses.
Government Support and Regulatory Approvals
The Indian government is committed to facilitating the project with necessary regulatory approvals, including fast-tracking visas for training purposes.
