A network of expressways and highways is being laid to strengthen the road infrastructure in every corner of the country. The Ahmedabad- Dholera expressway being built between Ahmedabad and Dholera is unique in itself among the expressways being built with modern technology in India . This is the country's first high-speed integrated multi-modal corridor. The special thing about this corridor is that you will see high speed trains and car-trucks running together. The construction work of this 109 km long expressway is going on at a fast pace. It is expected to be completed by January next year.
Project Cost & RRTS Integration
This expressway will be prepared at a cost of 4200 crores.
It is important that approximately Rs. The total width of the Ahmedabad- Dholera Expressway,
built at a cost of 4200 crores, is 120 meters. Expressway will be constructed on 90 meters
of it and Rapid Rail Transit System (RRTS) can be constructed on a 30 meter wide strip. RRTS
is currently being built between Delhi and Meerut in the country. Trains will run at a speed
of 160 to 180 kmph on this. Thus once this corridor is fully functional, you will see trains
and cars racing. The maximum speed limit for cars on this expressway will be 120 km per
hour.
Connecting Ahmedabad with Dholera Greenfield Smart City
Ahmedabad- Dholera Expressway will connect Ahmedabad with Dholera
The country's first greenfield smart city will connect Ahmedabad with Dholera . The
construction of this expressway will reduce the travel time between the two cities to just
one hour. A special investment region is being developed in Dholera between Mumbai and
Ahmedabad . It is also the country's first greenfield industrial city. It will be connected
to all modes of transport i.e. airport, port, road and metro. Ahmedabad- Dholera Expressway
project will play an important role in this work. Being part of the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial
Corridor (DMIC), a new state-of-the-art airport is also coming up here.
Construction of High Speed Multi-modal Corridor Expected for Huge Investment will not only reduce travel time between Ahmedabad and Dholera , but also give new impetus to industrial development of the country.
