Purpose of Visit

To inspect and review the progress of the National Maritime Heritage Complex (NMHC).

To discuss project updates with officials and ensure timely completion.

Key Highlights :

Security Arrangements:

Deployment of 900 police personnel including IG, DIG, SP, DYSP, PSI, and Women Police for the visit.

Project Overview:

NMHC is being built on 375 acres of land at an estimated cost of ₹4500 crores.

Designed to highlight India’s rich maritime heritage.

Phase-1A Completion:

Expected to be completed by end of 2025.

Progress review to be conducted during PM’s visit.

Exhibitions & Galleries:

14 thematic galleries showcasing India’s maritime legacy.

Coastal States Pavilion highlighting maritime traditions of states and union territories.

Future Plans:

Establishment of a Maritime University offering specialized degrees.
