Dholera, Gujarat – In a major development for Gujarat’s industrial growth, Gujarat CM Bupendra Bhai Patel visited DholeraSIR to review the progress of key infrastructure and industrial projects, including the ambitious Semicon City and Dholera International Airport. This marks a crucial milestone in the state’s efforts to position Dholera as a global hub for semiconductor manufacturing.
During his visit, CM Patel inspected the Tata Electronics semiconductor plant under construction in Dholera Semicon City, a flagship initiative to attract top national and international chipmakers to India. Officials briefed him on the construction progress, showcasing Gujarat’s commitment to becoming a leader in high-tech manufacturing.
Key Highlights from the Visit:
🛣️ Ahmedabad-Dholera Expressway is 95% complete, promising faster connectivity between Ahmedabad and Dholera Smart City.
🏗️ Major infrastructure—roads, underground utilities, plug-and-play facilities, and a 300 MW solar park—has already been completed.
💧 Essential services like water treatment plants, sewage systems, and advanced ICT infrastructure are now operational.
✈️ CM Patel also inspected the ongoing work at the Dholera International Airport, including the terminal, cargo building, and runway, being developed at an investment of ₹1,350 crore.
🏥 Additional projects under review included the Bhimnath-Dholera freight railway line, a 192-bed hospital, a school up to Class 12, a fire station, and residential zones for investors.
