Gujarat to Develop Indo–Taiwan Industrial Park in Sanand–Dholera, Aiming ₹1,000 Crore FDI and 12,000 Jobs
Ahmedabad, Gujarat: Gujarat is set to strengthen its position as a leading manufacturing hub with the proposed development of an Indo–Taiwan Industrial Park in the Sanand–Dholera region. The initiative is expected to boost investments in high-growth sectors such as semiconductors, electronics, electric vehicles (EVs), robotics, and advanced supply chains.
According to the state government, Gujarat is already emerging as a preferred destination for semiconductor investments, with projects worth over ₹1.24 lakh crore currently under development. The upcoming industrial park is expected to further accelerate this momentum by attracting major Taiwanese companies looking to expand their manufacturing presence in India.
The project will begin with an initial investment of around ₹100 crore and is projected to attract over ₹1,000 crore in foreign direct investment (FDI) in the coming years. Officials estimate that the development will generate approximately 12,000 direct employment opportunities over the next five years, contributing significantly to the state’s economic growth.
The Sanand–Dholera belt has rapidly evolved into a strategic industrial corridor, supported by robust infrastructure and connectivity. The addition of an Indo–Taiwan Industrial Park is expected to enhance Gujarat’s global competitiveness, particularly in the semiconductor and electronics manufacturing sectors.
Experts believe the partnership will strengthen business ties between Indian and Taiwanese companies, enabling technology transfer, innovation, and the development of a strong local supply chain ecosystem.
With this initiative, Gujarat continues to play a key role in advancing India’s “Make in India” vision and positioning the country as a global manufacturing powerhouse.
