Dholera, Gujarat – In a move that cements India’s ambition to become a global semiconductor powerhouse, Inox Air Products (Inox AP) has broken ground on a ₹500 crore electronic specialty gas hub in Dholera. This facility will play a crucial role in fueling the nation’s first semiconductor fab by Tata Electronics, a ₹91,000 crore mega project in collaboration with Taiwan’s Powerchip Semiconductor Manufacturing Corp.

Gamechanger for India’s semiconductor dream
Siddharth Jain, Managing Director of Inox Group, revealed that the hub will not just support Tata but also serve smaller semiconductor players in Gujarat. Over time, Inox AP plans to domestically produce 40+ specialty gases currently imported, creating a robust supply chain for India’s electronics ecosystem.
Future-ready vision
Inox AP will initially import gases but aims for “Make in India” manufacturing through global collaborations.
Beyond the ₹500 crore investment, the company plans to export specialty gases from Dholera in the future.
Employee training is already underway, with engineers being skilled abroad in semiconductor gas technologies.
